This was a Zero to Hero prompt challenge, which was posted as a Daily Prompt.
Do you have a reputation? What is it, and where did it come from? Is it accurate? What do you think about it?
As a blogger, I don’t have much of a reputation yet. 20/20 Hines Sight was born December 15, 2013. I hope over the course of this blog it will showcase who I am (ridiculously honest, witty, outspoken, opinionated on practically everything, and I don’t shy away from a good healthy debate. Oh yeah and a crazy dry sense of humor.) And of course I hope it becomes wildly successful.
Outside of blogging, however, is quite a different
story. My reputation tends to precede me. People know me as not mincing my words. There’s a saying, “I say what I mean and I mean what I say.” If you don’t want to know what I have to say don’t ask.
At work I’m known for being reliable and having a good work ethic, but I’m also known for my honesty and not putting up with anyone’s crap. They know me as an advocate for the underdog and going to bat for those that need an extra vote. Folks also know I don’t let my work friendships stand in the way of me writing you up or terminating you. I make it abundantly clear that work is work and if it boils down to you or me, I will always choose me.

Hi Natsu, thanks for stopping by. Good luck with your blog.
Folks don’t perceive me as being critical. They know if that want an honest answer or opinion that I’m the one to ask.

Your reputation in WordPress is almost similar to mine. We are both “newborns” to this. i created my blog on January 2, 2014.
Honesty at work is a good ethic but being too honest can sometimes think that you are critical. Do you think that happens?
Thanks for linking me to your blog. I appreciate it.

I am also participating in the zero to hero thirty day challenge. I am not sure if I did the assignment correctly, but I had fun writing it. We have similar senses of humor, I think, if sarcasm follows under the guise of dry humor. I look forward to following your future blogs.

Thanks Susan for reading. I believe there is a fine between sarcasm and a dry sense of humor. I am pretty sarcastic or as some might say a smart a$$.

I suppose the difference with humor is the intention. Sarcasm is directed toward someone. Dry humor reminds me of humor that causes people to groan. How would you describe dry humor?

I like the name of your blog. Honesty is the best policy even if people do not like what you have to say. I feel the same way. Good luck on your blog I hope its a huge success.
