Day 26: Z is for Zoroastrianism

Today is bittersweet as it’s the last day for the Blogging A to Z Challenge.Ā šŸ˜„ Ā 

I started the challenge with Religion and I’m ending with Religion. Quite Apropos, I think considering that Revelations 22:13 says, “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last” (King James Version).

The challenge began with Lillian’s (Hopes and Dreams)Ā Antediluvian: (1) of or belonging to the period before the Flood. Gen. 7, 8; and it’s endingĀ with Arlee (Lee) Bird’s (Tossing it Out) Zoroastrianism.

Zoroastrianism is an ancient monotheistic religion founded by the prophet Zoroaster approximately 3500 years ago inĀ Iran. It was the most powerful religion in the world and the principle religion of ancient Persia for 1000 years (600 BC to 650 AC). Now it is one of the world’s least practiced religion with about 190,000 believers. Continue reading
