Daily Life In . . .

So, there’s a little thing going on over at HarsH ReaLiTy called ‘Daily Life In. . .’ I thought what the heck, I’m settling into my apartment, getting used to brand new band of whack-a-doodles at work, and doing a little exploring of  my new hometown.

You may be asking what is ‘Daily Life In. . .’ Well, it’s pretty simple. It’s your opportunity to showcase where you’re from. Show us your hometown. Click here for details on how you can participate.

I moved from DC to Denver a month and four days ago. I didn’t and still really don’t have much time for exploring, but what I’ve gotten out to see I’m enjoying.

Day 29 – My Hometown

These were taken back in 2009 when the DC area what was termed Snowmageddon. They are of my dad. I can’t wait til we get snow. I mean real snow. I’ve got winter plans that involve snow.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

The first picture, he’s doing pretty good trudging through the snow in the back.

Then, we all fall down.

. . . and this one. After swelling a bit of snow, we’re gaining our composure.

And we’re upright again. That’s it. You can do it.

My Hometown . . . But not My Hometown – Chicago

My cousin and I are in Chicago this weekend for the Chicago Jazz Festival and to do some touristy things. So, here are some pics.

My Hometown – A Humbling Site

In spite of how I may feel about the incompetencies of our government and I don’t just mean the President, I am always awed that I live and work near the seat of power for the western world.

Sometimes during lunch I’ll walk the couple of blocks to the White House, watch the tourists, listen to the complainers, watch the demonstrators, listen to the defenders and I am always humbled by this symbol.

Some White House facts.

My Hometown – Sort of . . .

Today is supposed to be a My Hometown post, but I didn’t feel like going out and dealing with the deluge of tourists around the city. So, I thought I’d go back into my photos and share a few of my favorites. Enjoy! 🙂
