Let’s Lend a Helping Hand

These past few days have been a bit rough.

A coworker who I can’t say I know intimately got the phone call no parent should ever get on Wednesday afternoon. She has had two children a boy, 19 and a girl , 12. Her son was in a car accident and she needed to get to the hospital right away. After getting there she learned that her son passed away.

When we, her work family, found out about on Thursday it was perhaps the most solemn and sad day I had experienced in a long time. Although I don’t have children the news hit me like a ton of bricks. My heart sank. Several people cried.

Her son, Tanner, in just two short weeks was about to head to Marine Boot Camp. Apparently, Tanner always wanted to be a Marine (Ooh Rah) since he was child. His mom said that he thought they were they best and that he wanted to be a part of that.

I tell you this because she needs a bit of help. A GoFundMe account has been established to help pay for funeral expenses. A quote was given of $12,000 and at this time she’s not quite half there. If you are able and willing to donate any amount to help her it would be greatly appreciated. Every little bit helps.

If you’d like to donate, please click HERE.

Thank you in advance.

You know, just when you think you have a handle on life – it throws you a boomerang. I usually get up around 6:30 am to get ready for work. Well, this past Thursday, I had to wake myself up because I was having a dream about death – not exactly Continue reading

Loosies, Punishable by Death

Last night, I felt like the wind had been knocked out of me (no pun intended) after hearing the Grand Jury decision stating Officer Daniel Pantaleo would not be INDICTED. I’m not sure what video they were watching, but what I saw in my humble opinion shows the police using excessive force.

I flipped back and forth from CNN, MSNBC, FOX News, & local news in hopes of finding out how the grand jury reached their decision, but instead I found the majority of commentators, and law enforcement are equally perplexed. Continue reading

Breaking Taboo: ISIS, Your love is my poison

ISIS, or ISIL as some politicians call them, has beheaded four people. Let’s just call it five for the sake of it, since our president hasn’t done anything to save the other beheaded Individuals, including American Steven Sotloff.

Be warned, I don’t like our president or his policies. If you can’t handle that, turn away and read another post. Maybe one about bunnies, or unicorns.

Now before we proceed further not all Muslims are bad. These members of Islam are radical and extremists. Be careful what you say and how you categorize people. Now, ISIS seems to have an issue with the western world,it’s structure and quite frankly dying. Yeah, can’t exactly blame them. Dying isn’t on my to-do list either. However, killing innocent people, simply because of their nationality or religion is quite frankly stupid. What’s even more stupid is the fact that our president is being extremely relaxed with how this situation is handled. How many people have to die before something is truly done? How many terrorists get inside this country before we do something? How many innocent Americans have to die before our president grows a pair of balls and says the hell with political correctness and making people happy?

When does this end? Why does their love of destruction and death still continue to be our poison Mr. President?
