Weekend Coffee Share [1.17.16]

Hi all and thanks for stopping by. At first I wasn’t going to do a coffee share post. Why? (1) I haven’t posted anything since the last coffee share and (2) Nothing worn sharing happened last week, at least so I thought.

Last week I purchased my belated Christmas gift – the new Apple TV. Let’s just say LOVE IT!! ūüėć‚̧ԳŹ I haven’t played a video game in a long time. I downloaded Crossy Road and am officially addicted. However, I keep either getting eaten by a hawk or getting hit by a truck.

I’ve been thinking Continue reading

Weekend Coffee Share 1.9.16

Happy first full week of 2016! I hope you’ve had a wonderful week. My week was pretty decent. I went grocery shopping, so my cupboards are fully stocked. Please help yourself to the homemade hot chocolate (sorry no marshmallows), coffee (decaf and regular), tea (black and green) and of course water and OJ. I made some banana bread, so have some. It’s pretty tasty if I must say so.

I woke up this morning feeling a little melancholy. Missing family. I called home and probably about 5 minutes into the conversation with my mom Continue reading

2015 Annual Report and Beyond

Last night WordPress sent my Annual Report and according to the Report¬†20/20 Hines Sight¬†was viewed approximately 6,500 in 2015, which is down by about 4,500 prying eyes.¬†I’m not big on approximates, so let me crunch the numbers to be a little more accurate.

As of this write up my total views are 6,603. My best month for 2015 is January with 1,110 views.

2015 Stats

I’ve been viewed by people in 110 of the 196 countries in the world. The United States led in views with 4,459. The United Kingdom and Canada rounded out the top three¬†voyeurs with 245 and 229 respectively.

Day 12: Twelve Goals/Resolutions for 2016

Well, the 12 Days of Christmas has come to a close. I hope you’ve enjoyed my little lists these past two weeks. I know I’ve enjoyed writing them.

12 Goals/Resolutions for 2016

I’ve always hated the New Year’s Resolutions. My parents used to make my sister and me write them down and then when we didn’t honor them they would throw it back at us. When I was old enough to properly express myself, I told them exactly what I thought of them making us do that and how it felt when we didn’t stick to these ‘resolutions’. Like most parents mine passed on what they knew, which was for you to write down and stick to new year’s resolutions.

Anyway, I have since said what do I want to accomplish

Weekend Coffee Share

If we were having coffee . . .

I’d tell you that over the past couple of weeks I’ve been on an emotional roller coaster.

I called home during my lunch break as is my custom, but I was greeted with the news that my uncle – my mother’s brother – had passed away unexpectedly. Not exactly what you call home for. And as I am searching for plane tickets home it becomes abundantly clear that I won’t be going to the funeral. I couldn’t fathom spending nearly $600, albeit round trip, for a plane ticket. And no it wasn’t first class. So, I told my grandmother and knew I was being summoned when she said she would pay for it. Needless to say I didn’t take her up on that offer. I’m glad I went because it was an awesome home going. It was definitely a celebration of life. Good ole down home southern style home going.

I call funerals Continue reading
