If We Were Having Coffee. . .

If we were having coffee. . .

I’d tell you my coffee machine is on the fritz and invite you to join me at a great neighborhood gem, where we can have a great meal and bottomless mimosas. Their blueberry pancakes are fan-freakin-tabulous!

If we were having coffee. . .

I’d tell you, I did something I’ve never done in my life. And I’m actually still quite surprised that I did it. I went Continue reading

If We Were Having Coffee . . .

Well, hello00 and welcome back. I hope you all had a fantabulous week!

If we were having coffee . . .

I’d tell you my bed, bike roller blades, yoga mat, climbing gear, and 32 boxes arrived safe and sound this past Sunday and I have to admit when the guys put my bed together I could barely contain myself. No more counting Serta sheep because well, I had the pleasure of sleeping on my Serta.

If we were having coffee . . .

I’d tell you I have two new loves. The first is my electric blanket, which I bought because I was having some heating issues. The second is Zipcar. I decided not to schlep my 13 year-old car across country and I doubt I’ll have it shipped, so I signed up for a Zipcar membership. Love It! The public transport system is pretty good here. It’s not like DC’s, but Denver’s system is still pretty good. And I still hate taking the the bus. I don’t have enough bus pants. Continue reading

If We Were Having Coffee . . .

If we were having coffee. . .

I’d tell you that the past four weeks have been really overwhelming. And my head is still spinning.

I’d also tell you that it would be had for me to tell you everything in one sitting, so I’ll sum up.

A little over 4 weeks ago my Office Administrator and I were having a conversation about what 2015 would hold for us. She wants to move back to Atlanta and I told her that I was more than ready to head to Denver (which she’s known for a while now). Continue reading

Oh Hiatus

It’s been a week to the day since I accepted a job in Denver, Co and in exactly one week I will be on a plane to start what I hope to be a fun and exciting new chapter in my life. Everything is happening pretty fast. I found my apartment and signed the rental agreement going only on the website pictures and Google maps.

And I admit this past week I’ve been having a love affair with the Google maps man. My Google maps man has taken me to some areas that people don’t need to tell me to stay away from as well as some places that look really fun and funky. Continue reading

OMG It Finally Happened

These past few days have been a whirlwind. One of my goals for this year was to move to Denver, Colorado. I expected to put out a few applications at the beginning of the year and hopefully be out there by summer.

Well, I’ll be damned. I’ll be out there on my new job February 2nd. I have so much to do. Packing, finding a place to stay, getting my stuff out there. I thought I’d have more time.

It hasn’t been 24 hours since I accepted and I’m so overwhelmed. Finding a place is first and foremost. I’ve spent hours looking for a one, but of course am no closer. Gotta get this sorted out quick. Need to make lots of phone calls tomorrow.

Need to get some sleep, but I’m too excited and worried.
