I’d tell you this post was originally meant for yesterday, but then life happened and I didn’t get a chance to finish it.

I’m in a  much better mood today than yesterday. In part because it’s the weekend, but mostly because I’m back on caffeine. Not coffee caffeine, but green tea caffeine. That giving up caffeine cold turkey was pure shenanigans. I’m glad that whatever gremlin possessed me to do that has been excised. I’ve never been so bloody irritable in my life. Well that’s a lie. If I don’t eat, then things can get pretty ugly and this could be you. . .

Is it really. . . Could it be. . . SNOW

Today was our first snow of the season and of course of the year. I’m definitely not interested in another snowmageddon, but I want one good snow.

Could this be the predecessor to a proper snow? Ah one could hope.

If we were having coffee, I’d say. . .

How were the holidays? I would also ask your forgiveness because since I’ve been off coffee I’m slightly irritable. I decided to reduce my coffee intake to one cup per day, but then I went all in and quit cold turkey and I’m not particularly happy right now. I’ve walked by Dunkin, Starbucks and Port City Java just to get a whiff.

What I’ve Been Working On

I’ve been nursing a yuck-tastic sinus infection, which I officially found out I had today. Thank goodness I had my allergy appointment this morning.

While I was waiting for my prescription to be filled, I started brainstorming a few blog posts. And once I got home I started on some short stories.

I haven’t done an, “If we were having coffee. . . in a while and as I was perusing the blogs I follow I came across one and decided to do my own. Thanks Trent for the reminder. If we were having coffee, I’d say. . .

When it came down to opening presents my parents used to always say, “it’s better to give than receive.” Poppycock, I’d mumble under my breath and roll my eyes up in my head. Now that I’m older, I still like to receive better than give, but giving is catching up. I like to see the look on people’s faces. And I think this year someone is going to get the surprise Chia Pet.

I’ve been threatening this gift for a while now and the stinker in me has finally bought one and wrapped it up. Now who shall be the unsuspecting victim of the Chia Pet.
