What are your Blogging A to Z Favorites?

I’ll keep this post sticky through the weekend.

At the end of the Blogging A to Z Challenge there were over 2000 participants. I made my rounds to quite a few blogs and there are quite a few I really enjoyed. I have a relatively simple, but yet not so simple request.

I would appreciate it if you would tell me three things (please provide links):

1. One of your favorite blog posts that you wrote
2. One blog I should visit, other than yours
3. One blog post I should read, other than yours (this doesn’t have to be from the blog I should visit)

Why am I asking this? You know there’s no way one could make it around to over 2000 blogs during the challenge and I’d like to see what else I missed.

I’ll compile a list, which will be under A to Z Challenge 2014. Thanks in advance. 🙂

Days 3 & 4: Community, Diversity, & Done

I purposefully saved these two for last because I planned to use them to sum up my Blogging A to Z Challenge experience.

Over the past 30 days, I have come across a lot of really great bloggers. Bloggers that I never would have considered in the past and I got reacquainted with others. I had a few ups and downs, but was determined to finish the challenge even though I had to abandon it on my short story blog. I still intend on finishing the challenge over THERE, so be sure to stop by to see what’s going on in the next few days.

Day 26: Z is for Zoroastrianism

Today is bittersweet as it’s the last day for the Blogging A to Z Challenge. 😥  

I started the challenge with Religion and I’m ending with Religion. Quite Apropos, I think considering that Revelations 22:13 says, “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last” (King James Version).

The challenge began with Lillian’s (Hopes and Dreams) Antediluvian: (1) of or belonging to the period before the Flood. Gen. 7, 8; and it’s ending with Arlee (Lee) Bird’s (Tossing it Out) Zoroastrianism.

Zoroastrianism is an ancient monotheistic religion founded by the prophet Zoroaster approximately 3500 years ago in Iran. It was the most powerful religion in the world and the principle religion of ancient Persia for 1000 years (600 BC to 650 AC). Now it is one of the world’s least practiced religion with about 190,000 believers.

Day 17: My Hometown – Q Street / Dumbarton Bridge

I’m still playing catch up for the Blogging A to Z Challenge. Last week’s My Hometown letter was “Q”. I already knew that I was going to do the Dumbarton Bridge. You may be asking how does that relate to the letter Q, well it’s on Q Street and it’s quite often referred to as the Q Street Bridge. Haha pretty slick, huh?

I drive across this bridge quite regularly and have never really taken the time to soak it in, but then again it’s pretty difficult to do when driving in rush hour traffic.

The bridge was designed by Glenn Brown and constructed between the years of 1914 and 1915. It was built to connect Georgetown and the quickly growing Kalorama neighborhood (Dupont Circle). However, there were a couple of problems that had to be dealt with:

Day 25: Y is for Yodel

One more day until the Blogging A to Z Challenge is over and today’s letter is ‘Y’. Vidya gave Yodel and I immediately decided I was going to do a yodeling video. Or rather me learning how to yodel video.

I convinced my brother-in-law to video this lesson, which I procured from YouTube and bless his heart he tried not to laugh but needless to say he laughed till he cried. Although funny and exponentially entertaining I couldn’t subject any of you to that. Furthermore and perhaps more importantly, I couldn’t let that get out there onto the interwebs and I do have a reputation to protect. 🙂

Well, I can say that I tried something new that I never in a million years would have tried, and it was an EPIC FAIL!
