Welcome back guys and dolls. Pour yourself a cuppa freshly brewed decaf or caff or a cup of Earl Grey, grab yourself a pastry and lets’ head down to the patio and take in the sun and fresh air. I hope since our last visit you’ve been doing well. Quite a lot has taken place for me since our last get together.
If we were having coffee. . .
I’d tell you that I recently movedand believe me when I say it’s not an undertaking that I wish to do again anytime soon. I told my parents the next time I move it will be when I buy my house, hopefully in the next couple of years.
During my move a couple of things got damaged. One piece you can’t see the damage, but nonetheless I know it’s there. The other piece is damaged beyond repair. They tried to fix it but it’s toast. I was a little upset. It didn’t last long considering that it was free. I’ve decided I’m going to get rid of the dresser frame and keep the drawers and make a bookcase out of them. Or rather, let’s be real – I’ll find someone to make a bookcase. Building stuff is not my forte.
It’s been nearly a month since my move and I’m still unpacking. I’m still in awe of how much stuff I have. I thought I purged a lot when packing. Well, apparently I didn’t purge enough. So, I’m purging some more. Once I get settled I’ll show you the finished product
If we were having coffee. . .
I’d tell you that in the midst of me packing I picked up a part-time job at Barnes and Noble. Shoot me. As if I need another freakin’ book. (I know what you’re probably thinking, ‘Don’t buy any books then.’ Easier said than done.) Anyway, I figured if I was going to have a part-time job I’d go for someplace I’d enjoy. So far so good.

I’d tell you tutoring is going really well. My current student’s mom wants me to keep working with her through the summer. She also told me about the son of a friend of hers. He’s in the 7th grade and needs some extra reading help. I told her to pass my number on. When I was coming home I thought to myself, ‘Oh dear, a 7th grader. That would make him about 12 or 13.’ Oh the hormones are kicking in and good gracious the attitude, but inspite of . . . I would love the opportunity to see what I can do. After all India’s mom has told me that she has seen improvement and her teacher has taken note of her progress as well. So, I’m definitely happy about that.
Well that’s it for now and I think I’ve prattled on long enough. I hope you enjoyed your stay.
