Thanks for stopping by today for coffee, tea, and as it’s getting a bit cooler a spot of hot chocolate, and yes there’s whip cream and mini marshmallows. Please feel free to partake in the assorted pastries and fruit for those of you going carb free today. And I tried to be sensitive to those of you that may have a gluten allergy, too.
I hope everyone had a good week. My week was a bit unpleasant, but I’ll get to that later. This past Sunday, I went to a church called New Hope Baptist Church and really enjoyed it. So, I think I’m getting closer to finding a church home. I’m going back tomorrow. One because there is a guest preacher who I remember preaching at my church back home and I enjoyed him; and two because I did enjoy the church. And by the way the choir is pretty freakin’ awesome.
If We Were Having Coffee. . .
I’d tell you, I met a young woman at church who just moved to Colorado from the DC area. Score. We exchanged numbers and made plans to go for Sunday brunch. Love Sunday brunch and bottomless mimosas. Well, the bottomless mimosas was my idea.
I must have gone to New Hope on the right Sunday because there was a representative from a group called Whiz Kids Tutoring. I signed up to be a tutor for an under privileged at risk kid. I love the idea that it’s a Christian tutoring program. I’m pretty excited about it – giving a kid a fighting chance and plus it gives me an opportunity to get back into education without being in education. Check them out they need more tutors.

I’d tell you, I knuckled under again and gave this guy I met a call. We were supposed to go climbing a few weeks ago and well the sidewalk attacked me, so I had to bail on my own invitation. We made to grab a drink and trying to figure out when climbing fits into our schedules. It appears that my social life and network may be picking up. Yay!
If We Were Having Coffee. . .
I’d say, I think the highlight of my week was when I talked to my pastor back home. I was doing some information gathering on New Hope and we ended up having a pretty good conversation.
I had some rather strong words with someone at work and by the way I didn’t start it. It was reported an suppose

I’d tell you that surprisingly my coworker acted a bit better yesterday. Instead of giving me the, I’m going to fight you look and trying to bump me as we passed in the hallway she acted somewhat professional. Not sure what happened or what was said to her to make her act like she has some sense at work. I found out yesterday that both of my partners know and are being pretty supportive, which made me feel better.
If We Were Having Coffee. . .
I’d sign off now because I must head on off to the laundromat. I have a crap ton of laundry to get done, but feel free to stay a while and get caught up with one another. It’s always great fun getting together like this. Till next time.

Greetings from Australia. I guess I should wish you a “G’day mate” with your coffee. All the best with finding a new Church family.
I’ve been working through the Proust Questionnaire, which is used foir character development. It’s been an incredible journey which has plowed the depths of my emotions but really helped me sharpen my thinking xx Rowena.

Hi there roweeee,
I was supposed to go Australia this year, but had to spend that money on relocating. Hopefully, next year. How is weather? Hot and humid yet?
I’ve never heard of the Proust Questionnaire, I’ll have to check it out. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Corina, you haven’t missed anything. I haven’t done it. I scheduled it and then things got pretty hectic. Hopefully, life will continue calming down over the next few days and I can regroup and reevaluate some things. I will definitely let you know when it’s going to happen.
Thanks for asking. I’ll
