If We Were Having Coffee . . .
I’d apologize for being a crabby patty. I haven’t had coffee in over a week per my oral surgeons instructions and the fact that I still have a lot of pain from having my wisdom teeth out over a week ago. Dr. Fangman (yep that’s my oral surgeon’s name) said that I’m considered old to have wisdom teeth out, so the healing process can take longer. 3-5 days is what he told me. Now I know I’m no spring chicken, but really it’s been 10 days. I went for a follow up and he told me everything looked good.
Yay. But what about the pain?
Crickets. . .
Well, I refuse to take another Tylenol or Advil because I’m sure my liver hates me and I think the pharmacist gave me an Oxy placebo because it did absolutely nothing. Rat bastard.
If We Were Having Coffee . . .
I’d tell you that my dad came out to be with me while I had my dental procedure and another procedure, which I really appreciate. Thank you daddy!
I’m a horrid patient. Always have been, but he took my mood swings like a trooper.
Anyway, he was here for father’s day and I’m glad he was because I had him all to myself. Didn’t have to share him with my sister. Yay me! And yes, I’m super spoiled. He blames my mother. My mother blames him. But to tell the truth we’re all ridiculously spoiled, including the dog.
If We Were Having Coffee . . .
I’d tell you I’ve been spending a lot time on my book blog. I just completed WordPress’s Blogging 101. I made quite a few connections and completely revamped the site. There’s still work to be done, but it’s in much better shape than it was a month ago. The final assignment was to create a new blog feature, but I don’t follow instructions very well. Never have. So, I created a new blogging event called Wednesday’s Lyrics.
Wednesday’s Lyrics is a pretty simple concept. Each Wednesday I’ll post lyrics to a song. It could be the entire song or just a few lines and a brief reason why I chose those lyrics. I hope you’ll stop by from time-to-time and share some of your favorite song lyrics.
Well, I have to get back to reading Dicken’s Bleak House because I’m seriously behind.
Don’t forget to join the coffee link up at Part Time Monster and share it on Twitter by using #WeekendCoffeeShare.
Sorry to hear about your wisdom teeth… Like everyone here I remember mine being taken out (ok not really as I was under general anaesthesia) but I was bluish green in the face for a week or so and then it turned yellow…, when people asked at school what had happened a guy in my class would proudly say that I had been in a fight!

Lol. Guys always go for the physical. I’m sure you had to laugh at that. Good looking out for you, though.

Oh it was hilarious. I loved it how he took my defence, and I think the person he told that actually believed him. I hope that you are feeling better now 🙂

I hope the pain goes away soon. I had mine out when I was in college and then developed an allergic reaction to the pain meds (percodan) and an infection so it took forever to get rid of the pain and the infection and start to eat again. I hope yours is much faster!

Thanks Corina for the well wishes. I’m hoping it goes away soon too.

Sorry about your wisdom teeth. I was in my mid 30s when I had mine removed – I didn’t eat solid food for at least 2 weeks….

Ugh. I hope it’s not going to be like that. I keep going back and forth from soft foods to something more substantial. I cringed Friday when I ate a PB&J and chunky applesauce. I’ve probably lost a couple of pounds because I haven’t been eating and filling up on water. That’s probably the best thing about having your wisdom teeth out. 🙂

Thanks Diana. I hope so too. I’m ready to eat without pain. Losing weight though. That’s always a positive. Right?
