If We Were Having Coffee

If We Were Having Coffee. . .

I’d tell you that I’m finally getting into the swing of things here in Denver. I’m starting to develop a work-life balance. I’m developing a social circle, which I’m sure is going to much like the one back home. A bunch of nerds and creatives.

If We Were Having Coffee. . .

I’d tell you that since I wasn’t able to finish the Blogging from A to Z Challenge this year I signed up for the Post-Challenge Road Trip . I’m excited to see what I missed. I’d also tell you that I’m in the process of scheduling my own A-Z posts, which will probably take me through December. And I’ve already started thinking about next year’s challenge. I’ve decided I’m going to come up with an actually theme with some leeway for some Randomness and Tomfoolery.

I’d tell you that since my life has settled down, I’m going to get back to blogging here and working towards accomplishing the goals and objectives I set aside this year for the blog. I’ve also decided to get back to my book blog and short story blog. It helps since now I belong to a book club and a writer’s critique club here. I hope you’ll stop by from time to time.

I’d tell you that I’m participating in Back to the Classics Reading Challenge. And you’ll find my opinions and reviews over on The Broken Spine. Some of the books I’m reading are first time reads while others are old time favorites.

Here’s a sample of what I’ll be reading and reviewing:

Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck
Dracula by Bram Stoker
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
The Enormous Room by E. E. Cummings
Their Eyes Are Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston
The Art of War by Sun Tzu

I’d say as usual it’s been real, but I must take my leave now because I need to go and clean my apartment. It’s a hot mess and when I say a hot mess, I mean a hot mess. So, toodles and I’m glad we had an opportunity to chat a bit this week.

And of course don’t forget to join the coffee conversation over at Part Time Monster.

  1. Bunch of nerds and Creatives…love it 🙂 I’m hoping to get on the Post Challenge Road Trip as well, the challenge kind of wiped me out creatively in a way. I was concentrating on those posts every day, that I neglected my normal routine, although now I’m spent and the well feels dry. Hoping to get a jumpstart on writing again. Thanks for the coffee, I needed the caffeine boost today! Paula
