In spite of how I may feel about the incompetencies of our government and I don’t just mean the President, I am always awed that I live and work near the seat of power for the western world.
Sometimes during lunch I’ll walk the couple of blocks to the White House, watch the tourists, listen to the complainers, watch the demonstrators, listen to the defenders and I am always humbled by this symbol.

I honestly don’t know the answer to that. Recently a 15 month old got through the gates and was running around on the White House Lawn. So, she got kind of a tour.

LOL! No apparently the Secret Service were going to give her a time out, but I guess the time out could have been served at Gitmo.

I was just down there. I had a work related class on 18 NW and stayed on L street so I wasn’t far from the White House. I saw this view quite often.
