Shout Out to My Peeps

Today, I’m doing something different. This past weekend between binge watching House of Cards and not doing homework (bad grad student), I read as many posts from bloggers I follow as I could. And there are some pretty awesome bloggers out there.  Here are just a few. I plan on doing this either weekly or biweekly.

Raising Five Kids with Disabilities — I’m not even really sure where to start with this one. I love this blog, partly out of my admiration for this woman, Linda. I read her journey and am absolutely awe inspired that humanity is not a complete failure. It reinforces what I long to see more of — the kindness, the loving, the caring, the acceptance of people that are ‘different’.

From One Crazy Life To Another is blog in which Amanda started to give a smile and a good laugh, but it’s actually much more than that. Yes there are posts that make you smile and give you a good laugh, but there are also posts that are raw, unfiltered, and honest — from the heart honest.

HarsH ReaLiTy is a blog you should check out if you like honesty and things that make you think a bit out of your norm. Opinionated Man (O.M.) definitely has an opinion, you may not like it, but that’s okay; right? He’s an honest no holds barred blogger.

Covered in Beer is “just another idiot on the internet”, not my words — his. I enjoy his blog because it’s witty with a splash of sarcasm, but I think what really sucked me in is his Funk Music Friday. Makes me want to put George Clinton and Bootsy Collins on repeat, get some platform shoes, bell bottoms, a polyester statin blouse, and a great big fro and shake my booty.

I hope you’ll check them out and hopefully you’ll enjoy them as much as I do. 🙂
