A Chick Making the Most Out of 2014

Well, well, well what do we have here — day 2 of 2014.  I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and hope you have a great 2014.

WordPress is doing a Zero to Hero: 30 Days to a Better Blog challenge. I’m no stranger to blogging, but I  will have to say I always need a bit of help getting started.  Today is the first day of the challenge and those participating are biting the proverbial bullet and introducing themselves.

Who am I? A chick with a few things to say

Why did I start this blog? To share my thoughts, opinions, ideas, and whatever else crosses my mind

What topics do you think you’ll write about? Anything and everything from religion to politics to kids to health. I don’t shy away from topics during face-to-face conversations.  I enjoy open, honest, and respectful dialogue with folks, so I’m hoping all topics will be up for a bit of discussion.

If you blog successfully throughout 2014, what would you hope to have accomplished? I do hope it’s successful and the main thing I would like to have accomplished with it is people having open, honest and respectful discussions about some tough topics or not so tough topics.  I’m not looking to change the world, but maybe just add a little food for thought from time to time.

I would also like to open up my blog once a month for one week (7 full days) to other bloggers, so you can share your thoughts. Check out 7 Days 7 Bloggers for details.

I hope you’ll join me throughout the year whether you’re just reading what’s on this chicks mind or if you’re guest blogger.

You can like my Facebook and Twitter pages as I’m sure there will be times in which I’ll post a quick thought or observation or something there.

Have a great 2014 and I look forward to connecting with you. 🙂
